L-Leucine in particular has emerged as the key regulator of protein synthesis by activating the mTOR pathway in muscle and must be present in optimal amounts to stimulate muscle growth.
L-Glutamine – is the most abundant free amino acid in human muscle and plasma and is needed at high levels by rapidly dividing cells during protein synthesis. Heavy training dramatically lowers blood plasma levels of Glutamine which causes muscle catabolism that will inhibit recovery. Post exercise Glutamine supplementation stop muscle catabolism and dramatically shortens recovery times, reduces muscle soreness and stimulates higher rates of protein synthesis for muscle growth.

The process of protein digestion is complex. Initial digestion starts in your stomach where a combination of strong acid (Hydrochloric acid) and powerful gastric enzymes begin the task of breaking down protein so that your body can absorb it. From here, partially digested proteins pass into your small intestine where pancreatic enzymes continue to digest proteins until finally you are left with single amino acids and small peptides that can pass across the intestinal walls into your blood stream for use by your body.
Whey protein, because of its structure, is generally a fast digesting protein, but different types of whey do absorb differently.
Hydrolysed Whey has already been treated with enzymes during processing, which means it is already digested to a greater degree. How To Take 100% Pure Whey
Take 1 – 2 serves per day in addition to regular meals.
Add one scoop to a blender or shaker with 200 - 250 ml of cold water and mix for 20 seconds until completely dispersed. For a thicker and creamier shake mix in low fat milk. Take 1 – 2 serves per day in addition to regular meals. Dosage may be increased for bigger heavier trainers or if more protein is required to meet training needs.
